Intu Chapelfield is in an ideal location for those wanting to enjoy Norwich’s cosmopolitan mix of shops and eating places. Neatly situated within the historic city’s traditional centre and just inside the city’s inner ring road, the beauty of intu Chapelfield is that you can easily reach the centre by foot, bike, bus, train or car. However you decide to come and visit us is up to you.
By Bus
Norwich is well supported by bus services from all over region.
Many First Bus services stop on St Stephen’s Street, literally within metres of intu Chapelfield. And with many others stopping at Norwich Bus Station you are never more than a few minutes walk from intu Chapelfield. From the bus station, exit via Surrey Street and turn left on to St Stephen’s Street.

By Car
Located in the centre of Norwich with a 1000 customer car park, intu Chapelfield is clearly signposted from all directions and can be easily accessed via the inner ring road (A147 Chapel Field Road).

By Park & Ride
Norfolk County Council operates six purpose built Park & Ride sites at the Airport, Costessey, Harford , Postwick, Sprowston and Thickthorn. For easy access, the sites are located around Norwich’s outer ring road on the main routes into the city centre (A11, A140, A47, A1151).
All Park & Ride services stop at Norwich Bus Station - where intu Chapelfield is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Leave the bus station via Surrey Street and turn left onto St Stephen’s Street. The St Stephen’s entrance to intu Chapelfield is just minutes away. Please note that the Airport, Postwick and Sprowston services stop first at Castle Meadow but they continue on to Norwich Bus Station.

By Train
Norwich Railway Station is located on Station Approach, Riverside, Norwich. There is a taxi rank right outside the station and the No.25 bus service, operated by First, departs from the station forecourt regularly. Get off the bus at Norwich Bus Station – the closest stop to intu Chapelfield.
You can walk to intu Chapelfield from the station in about 20 minutes. Follow the signs to the city centre (up Gentleman’s Walk) and then follow signs to intu Chapelfield.

By Bike
In Norwich we like to cycle, it’s cheap and it’s healthy. 10% of people in the area travel daily on a bike, while the national average is only 3%. Intu Chapelfield has bike racks on Chapelfield Plain, off Chantry Road and covered, secure cycle parking at the South Lane entrance to the centre, off Coburg Street.

On Foot
Located right in the city centre, it couldn’t be easier to walk to intu Chapelfield during a visit to Norwich.
With entrances on St. Stephens Street and Theatre Street, intu Chapelfield is signposted throughout the pedestrian areas of the city centre, making it straightforward to find us anywhere when walking around Norwich.
VisitNorwich produce a range of publications to help visitors to the area navigate around the city centre. These are stocked by the Norwich Tourist Information Centre and at our Customer Information Desk. Alternatively, they can be downloaded via the VisitNorwich website.
Parking at intu Chapelfield
Intu Chapelfield's 1,000 space shoppers car park is located under the shopping centre and is open from 8am each day. Last entry is at 10pm (at 8pm on Sundays) but you can exit from the car park at any time, 24 hours a day.

Spread over 2 bright and spacious floors, the car park has Car Valet UK on level -1 if you fancy a hassle free valet while you shop, M&S collect by car bays on level -2 and 2 free electric car charging points located in the green bays on level -2. Keys and leads are available from the Customer Information Desk on the Lower Ground Mall inside the shopping centre. ID is required to hire them free of charge.
Obviously the car park is ideal for shoppers, but with the special flat rate of £2.00 after 3pm and entry up to 10pm (8pm Sundays) it’s also the perfect place to park if you're going to the theatre or for a night out in Norwich. Please note that outside normal opening hours, pedestrian access to collect your car from the car park is via the Theatre Street entrance to intu Chapelfield, which is on Chantry Road (between intu Chapelfield and the back of the Theatre Royal and Assembly House).

Lost Tickets
Lost tickets are charged at the 'over 6 hours' rate. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if you lose your car park ticket.
Deliveries
Intu Chapelfield has a service yard that is exclusively for deliveries to our retailers. Accessible via Chantry Road, behind the Theatre Royal, delivery routes to intu Chapelfield are signposted on all the main roads to the centre.

Sustainable Transport
How easy your journey is to intu Chapelfield is important to us. And as part of one of the UK’s largest companies, we also have a responsibility to manage and minimise our impacts on the environment. This includes travelling to intu Chapelfield.
We have drawn up a travel plan for intu Chapelfield and it consists of a package of measures aimed at reducing single occupancy car use among staff, retailers and shoppers, through better provision of public transport. It will also provide information on the various travel options available.
The overall objective of the travel plan is to try to make sure that all users (staff and shoppers) use more sustainable forms of transport, where possible, instead of single occupancy car travel. This will help to minimiseour impact on the environment.
Other objectives of the plan include:
- Making sure that on-site facilities are provided, which encourage sustainable travel.
- Providing travel information to all users of intu Chapelfield to enable them to make an informed choice of how they travel to the centre.
- Establishing and developing partnerships with the local authority, transport operators, businesses in the intu Chapelfield area, and others in promoting sustainable travel.
At the same time, the plan also provides:
Increased travel choice - a wider range of travel options, savings and benefits will enhance the recruitment and retention of staff working here as well as providing easier access to intu Chapelfield for a greater number of visitors.
Health benefits - many alternative forms of travel include an element of exercise that will lead to a healthier workforce, possibly leading to reduced rates of illness and a reduction in health related absences.
